Strengthened innovation journey with generative artificial intelligence (AI) powered web chatbot
With an ambition to drive tech-forward hospitality, Ascott launched a ChatGPT-fuelled chatbot, Cubby, to enhance the travel stages of planning and booking as part of the guest journey. This transformative initiative is part of Ascott’s mindful adoption of AI-driven guest-centric innovations to support its rapid growth trajectory.
2022
Established Commitment to Sustainable Tourism with Launch of Ascott CARES
Ascott unveiled Ascott CARES, a sustainability framework that aligns its growth strategy with environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations alongside GSTC Criteria. Centred around five pillars representing the acronym CARES - Community, Alliance, Respect, Environment and Supply Chain, Ascott CARES is an affirmation of Ascott's commitment to the gold standard for sustainable tourism.
In the same year, Ascott was one of the first hospitality groups to be conferred the recognised-standard status by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) for its adoption of the GSTC Industry Criteria.

Ascott Ranked as One of Top Three Extended Stay Serviced Residence Providers
The acquisition of Oakwood leapfrogged the group's growth and cemented Ascott's global position as one of the top three extended stay serviced residence providers in the world (Source: Global Serviced Apartment Industry Report 2022).

Ascott advanced access to the fast-growing hotels segment with its acquisition of stakes in TAUZIA Hotel Management, one of Indonesia's leading hotel operators.
2017
Ascott Acquired Stakes in Quest and Synergy Global Housing to Establish Presence as Major Serviced Residence Provider in Australasia and the USA
Ascott established its presence as the largest serviced residence provider in Australasia following the acquisition of stakes in Quest Apartment Hotels. In the same year, Ascott also became one of the largest providers of extended stay accommodation in the USA following acquisition of stakes in Synergy Global Housing.

Debuted The Crest Collection & lyf Brands to Pursue a Wider Demographic of Guests
The Crest Collection is a collection of unique, luxury serviced residences while lyf was developed as a coliving brand designed for the next generation traveller.
2007
Opened the Ascott Centre for Excellence (ACE), a Global Hospitality Training Centre
Ascott was the first and only serviced residence company in Singapore to extend hospitality training programmes to the wider industry in Singapore in 2006 with the establishment of ACE.
2004
Became the Largest International Serviced Residence Operator Outside the USA
Ascott's acquisition of the Citadines brand expanded its footprint in Europe and propelled its global portfolio growth. Today, the brand has since quadrupled with almost 200 properties around the world.
